[Original vs Fake] How To Identify the Best Power Bank || Wizzyblog

It will be an understatement if I say that a Power Bank is as important as the phone you are using but the truth is some people can't do without them. Though Power Bank usage have gradually reduced since mobile phone companies now make phones with bigger and long lasting battery that can last for the whole day.

Some even act as powerbank to charge fellow phones. But I won't deny the fact that there are people that are still making use of it and someone somewhere is even planning to buy a new power bank so to those that want to get a new one, this post is for you. I will reveal some simple secrets to identify an original Power bank so that you know the difference between fake and original power bank device.

Buying a power bank is not the issue but the question is this; is the power bank fake or original? Are you buying it because it's very beautiful in appearance? What is you aim of going to the market to buy a power bank?

Are you aware that fake power bank can cause hazard to your phone by damaging it or the battery or even catch fire and in the process destroy your phone, tablet, household, office or even kill you? More reason you should be very careful in choosing an original one.

So today i will help you in identifying the original and fake power Bank especially especially now that there are so many fake power banks in the market. Take a cup of tea, seat back, relax and read on. They are only but simple tips that you might be neglecting all this while.

Bellow are the ways to identify a fake power bank;

1. It has no Brand Name: Some power banks in the market has no brand name, instead what is written on them is just "Power Bank". Don't go for them! There are many branded ones you can checkout for. Example are those from Xiaomi, Anker, Jackberry, iMuto, iceworks, MaxOak, Qi-infinity and so on.

2. Exaggerated Ratings: Many power banks that are rated above 30,000mAh capacity are usually fake except those from popular brands.

3. Lite Weight: Most fake Power banks weighs very lite. You will see a power bank with 50,000mAh capacity weighing very lite and even fancy looking and easy to put inside pockets. My dear, it's fake. An original 50,000mAh supposed to be decently heavy and bulky.

4. They are Very Cheap: Most fake power banks are very cheap, in fact, their prices are too good to be true. You will see a seller pressuring you to buy 30,000mAh capacity powerbank for just N3,000. Chai! God help us.

Meanwhile, contrary to the above mentioned ways to spot a fake power bank, here are the main ways to know and identify a good and original powerbank. Read on...

✔️ Original power Bank comes with a brand name.

✔️ It doesn't have exaggerated high capacity like 40000mAh,50000mAh,100000mAh etc.

✔️ The charging capacity tallies with what it is written on it depending on your battery capacity too.

✔️ Original power banks are heavier

✔ They are usually rugged in nature and bulky

✔ Original power banks don't come with many fancy features like too many LED Lights, many display screen, music player and so on

✔ They usually take longer time to completely get charged (depending on the capacity - the higher the capacity, the longer charging time required) except it comes with fast charge technology.

✔ It is decently and justifiably costly

In summary, shine your eyes when buying a new power bank. Let this article serve as a reference point in identifying the best and original powerbank to go for.

Best Infinix Smartphones With the Best Camera Quality that you might want to buy in 2019

Here we will be taking a look at the best Infinix Smartphones with the best camera quality in 2019. The camera is just one aspect of smartphones almost if not everybody takes a closer look at before thinking about buying the phone. It can sometimes be a determining factor for some people who only buy a smartphone strictly because of how good that camera is. While smartphone cameras aren’t on par, yet with most DSLR cameras out there, it definitely isn’t what it used to be and can be more than enough for everyday use, nothing professional of course.
Infinix has made some really solid devices with different models focusing on different aspects of smartphones. Some on performance, some on huge battery and some on really good camera quality. The latter being the topic here. For this list, we only took into consideration the Infinix smartphones that have been released as at when writing this. Without further ado, let’s get started.

Infinix Note 5 and Note 5 Stylus

The Infinix Note 5 and Note Pro (also know as Note 5 Stylus) are the latest installments in the Note line succeeding the Infinix Note 4. Both smartphones are equipped with some real camera that output high-quality images and videos.
Infinix Note 5 specs
The Infinix Note 5 has a 12MP rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture and PDAF. It is also equipped with a dual-LED dual-tone flash, HDR, Panorama and can even record 1080p videos at 30fps. Note 5 Stylus, on the other hand, takes up a notch with a 16MP wide angle rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture, PDAF, HDR, Panorama, dual-LED dual tone flash and can record 4k and 1080p videos at 30fps. It can also 720p videos at slow-motion (120fps). Both devices have a 16MP front-facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture capable of 1080p video recording at 30dfps.
Asides the camera and battery (4,000mAh on the Note 5 Stylus and 4,500mAh on the Note 5), they pretty much have the same specs. The camera on both devices are exceptionally good and if the camera is of utmost importance to you then Note 5 Pro is for you. If you still want a good camera but also will a massive battery then Note 5 will do just fine. Either way, you’re getting a smartphone with good camera quality.

Infinix Zero 5 and Zero 5 Pro

Infinix Zero 5 and Zero 5 Pro is equipped a dual camera setup combination of a main 12MP wide-angle camera with an f/2.0 aperture and AF paired with a secondary 13MP telephoto lens with an f/2.6 aperture, 2x optical zoom and AF. It also has a dual-LED flash, HDR, Panorama and 1080p video recording capabilities at 30fps.
Infinix Zero 5
The front facing camera is a single 16MP shooter with an f/2.0 aperture and an LED flash. Infinix Zero 5 and Zero 5 Pro although being a little bit old still take some really great photos and definitely still holds up till now when it comes to camera quality. If you’re looking for a good Infinix camera smartphone and don’t want to opt for the Note 5 or Note 5 Pro then this right is a good alternative.

Infinix Hot 6X

Infinix hot 6x
The first two smartphones are a little bit pricey but you can still get good camera quality at a low price. Infinix Hot 6X is a testament to that. The device is equipped at the back with a 13MP main camera with PDAF accompanied by a secondary 2MP depth sensor camera for those portrait photos. It also has a dual-LED flash for low light shots along with HDR and Panorama. 1080p can also be recorded at 30fps. An 8MP camera sits comfortably at the front for selfies which also has it’s own LED flash for selfies in low light places. Asides from the camera, it also has a 4,000mAh battery and a massive 6.2-inch display just to name a few.

Infinix Hot S3X

Infinix Hot S3X, just the Infinix Hot 6X above is equipped with an almost an identical specifications right down to the camera. At the back, it sports the same dual camera of 13MP main and 2MP depth sensor with PDAF, dual-LED flash, HDR, Panorama and 1080p video recording at 30fps. However, it doubles the front-facing camera to 16MP at the expense of a front LED flash which this Infinix Hot S3X doesn’t have. Regardless of that, Its still produces some real photos, especially if you’re in a well-lit environment.

Infinix Hot S3

Infinix Hot S3 isn’t a smartphone I’ll actually recommend for its camera per se as the single 13MP rear-facing camera which a dual-LED flash, HDR and Panorama doesn’t just cut it without at least a secondary camera. However, it does shine when it comes to the selfie department, thanks to its 20MP front facing camera which is equipped with a dual-LED flash, giving you all you all the light you need in low light scenes to take really great photos. If you utilise the front-facing camera more than you do the rear facing then this is your best option. If not then you’re better off with the Infinix Hot S3X.
There you have it, 5 best Infinix Smartphones with the best camera quality you can go out and buy right now in 2019.

WhatsApp To Merge With Instagram And Facebook Messenger

Facebook plans to merge its messaging services on Whatsapp, Facebook messenger and Instagram into one single app. What this actually means is that, users of these platforms will be able to chat on these three services simultaneously in one app.

These three will still remain stand-alone apps, but their messaging service will be linked to each other so messages can flow between the different platforms.

According to New York Times, Facebook founder - Mark Zuckerberg - is the brain behind all these. It's his personal project. Mark went further to say it was a start of a “long process”.

Once complete, the merger would mean that a Facebook user could communicate directly with someone who only has a WhatsApp account or Instagram account. This is currently impossible as the applications have no common core.

According to source, the work to merge these three messaging services is already in progress and it's expected to be completed by the end of 2019 or early next year 2020.

For now, the messaging services will continue to operate on their own respective platforms, but their underlying technical infrastructure will be unified, said four people involved in the work. That will bring together three of the world’s largest messaging networks, which between them have more than 2.6 billion users, allowing people to communicate across the platforms for the first time.

How To Verified Your Instagram Account with Blue Badge

Instagram has started rolling out a feature that allows everyone to request for the blue mark that shows your account is verified. The option is now popping up on Instagram app for Android and iOS.The blue mark is a unique icon next to a user's name, that tells you the account is a verified one and the genuine handle of a public figure / celebrity.

Actually, the blue mark is meant for a public figure, or you have to be popular enough with much followers on Instagram inorder to request for your account to be verified.

Before now, getting an Instagram account verified with the blue mark has been a very hard process. People pay so much to get their handle verified.  The blue mark gives an account more respect and trust.

Note: If this option doesn’t appear for you yet, be patient! Instagram is rolling it out worldwide, so it might take a bit longer for you to get the feature. You can also try updating your Instagram app.

How To Request For Instagram Verification Badge

Go to your profile and click on the three lines button in the top right corner > Settings > Request verification.

Fill out the simple form and upload your ID card. Either Voter’s Card, National ID card International passport, Driver’s licence or any government issued ID card. Please note that It must show your name, photo and date of birth.

After filling out the form, submit it and wait for Instagram to review your request, and wait for a notification in your notifications tab.

Instagram will send you a notification verdict — confirm or deny — via a notification.

Note: Just because you requested for account verification doesn’t mean you will get verified. The blue badge is reserved for celebrities, public figures, global brands, or entities representing the brand. You must be big or popular enough to get verified.

Hope this helps?

How To Make Group Video Calls On WhatsApp

The wait is over as WhatsApp update with Group video calls. This will allow you to chat with up to three people simultaneously on its Android and iOS apps.
If you are itching to try this feature out, you’ll need to follow a few, easy steps.
  • First, make sure your app is updated to the latest version.
  • Start a one-on-one video call with a contact like you normally would.
  • Then, tap the “add participant” button at the top right of your screen.
  • And voila! You’re making a video call with more than one person.
One-on-one video calls were introduced to the application in 2016 and voice-calling in 2014. Its users spend up to 2 billion minutes per day talking on the phone. But WhatsApp took its time adding this feature that allows you to call more people at a time, regardless of where you are.
WhatsApp calls reportedly have end-to-end encryption like standard messages on the platform.
Facebook, the parent company for both WhatsApp and Instagram, announced in May at its F8 developer conference that it was building this feature (group calling with both voice and video support) for both apps. The feature became available on Facebook in June, with the same four-person limit.
WhatsApp announcing new group video feature. Photo:
The feature is engineered to work under less-than-stellar network conditions, according to the company, so you can video chat a friend or family member from wherever you are as long as you can connect to the internet.
Although this is good news for many active WhatsApp users, iOS 12’s FaceTime allows for up to 32 people at once.
Either way, this feature is rolling out today to its 1.5 billion monthly active users, so enjoy!

Snapchat’s Peer-to-Peer Payment Service ‘Snapcash’ to be shutdown Next Month

Is over! Snapchat's Peer-to-Peer Payment Service 'Snapcash' to be shutdown Next Month Snapchat set to termina its digital peer-to-peer payment service ‘Snapcash’ on August 30 which result to the ending of its four-year-long partnership with US-based mobile payment company Square.

“Yes, we’re discontinuing the ‘Snapcash’ feature as of August 30, 2018. Snapcash was our first product created in partnership with another company – Square. We’re thankful for all the Snapchatters who used Snapcash for the last four years and for Square’s partnership,” TechCrunch quoted a Snapchat spokesperson as saying late on Sunday.

Snapcash used the regular number, expiration date and card verification value (CVV) of a debit card, allowing Snapchatters to shop, send, and receive money without having to leave the app. The feature, however, did not allow cancellation of payments once the process was completed.
The digital-payment feature was made part of Snapchat back in 2014 in partnership with Square that handled the actual payment processing.

Even though the purpose of the feature was purely for user-convenience, it was exploited by users who offered adult content in exchange for payments through Snapcash. The misuse could have caused Snapchat serious legal and PR problems.

Advertisers have been given more creative tools for building Facebook ads right from their phones via the Ads Manager ads.

“These new creative tools allow you to create and edit ad images directly from the Ads Manager app, saving time and effort,” says Facebook on the Facebook Business blog.

Smartphones That Supports Android P (Android 9.0)

The latest version of Google's Android Operating System is Android P otherwise called Android 9.0 which succeeds Android 8 Oreo.

Unsurprisingly, not every Android phone supports Android P OS that's why I am listing all the smartphones that currently supports Android 9.0. This post will be updated as new phones are released with Android P compatibility.

The Android P (Android 9.0) is the next major version of Android and it is slated to arrive sometime in Q3 2018. Android beta releases are traditionally only been available for Google’s Pixel and Nexus phones, but that was changed this year with the introduction of Project Treble.

Now the Android P beta is going to be available for all of Google’s recent Pixel phones as well as 11 phones from other OEMs.

✔️ Google Pixel
✔️ Google Pixel XL
✔️ Google Pixel 2
✔️ Google Pixel 2 XL
✔️ Essential Phone
✔️ Nokia 7 Plus
✔️ OnePlus 6
✔️ Oppo R15 Pro
✔️ Sony Xperia XZ2
✔️ Vivo X21UD
✔️ Vivo X21
✔️ Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S

Note that Nokia recently introduced the Android P update (beta) to three of its phones not listed in the list above: the Nokia 6.1, Nokia 7, and Nokia 8 Sirocco, even though it’s only available in China. The beta test is slots are quite small, so it’s likely many Nokia users won’t be able to test the Android P update on their phones unless Nokia opens up more slots.

[TECH NEWS] New technology can see your body through walls

MIT’s  Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory has created a system that can see your body through walls, recreating your poses when you walk, sit, or simply stand still. It uses RF waves to sense where you are and then recreates your body as a simple stick figure. It’s called RF-Pose.
From the release:
The researchers use a neural network to analyze radio signals that bounce off people’s bodies, and can then create a dynamic stick figure that walks, stops, sits and moves its limbs as the person performs those actions.
The team says that the system could be used to monitor diseases like Parkinson’s and multiple sclerosis (MS), providing a better understanding of disease progression and allowing doctors to adjust medications accordingly. It could also help elderly people live more independently, while providing the added security of monitoring for falls, injuries and changes in activity patterns.
The team is primarily interested in using this system for healthcare, allowing for passive monitoring of a subject inside a room without cameras or other intrusions. “All data the team collected has subjects’ consent and is anonymized and encrypted to protect user privacy,” wrote the researchers. “For future real-world applications, the team plans to implement a ‘consent mechanism’ in which the person who installs the device is cued to do a specific set of movements in order for it to begin to monitor the environment.”
The researchers trained the neural network by showing a machine a video of a person walking next to the RF interference they made as they moved. They then overlaid stick figures on the movement and trained the network to do the same automatically. Because RF signals are ubiquitous, it was easier to use than other sensing technologies.
Interestingly the researchers never trained the system to see through walls but it was able to “generalize its knowledge to be able to handle through-wall movement.”
“If you think of the computer vision system as the teacher,  this is a truly fascinating example of the student outperforming the teacher,” said researcher Antonio Torralba. There is no word if the system will be used other commercial purposes.

[TECH] How To Test Android Apps Before Installing Them On Google Play Store

In May last year, Google introduced Android instant app which is a feature that lets users Test Android Apps Before Installing Them from Google Play Store. So in this post, you will learn how to test Android Apps before installing from Google Play Store.

The purpose of this feature is to curb the frustration of people who downloads apps they thought were amazing but in actual sense, very awful to them. So now all you do is test the app and if it's okay by you, then you go on to install.

How To Test Android Apps Before Installing Them On Google Play Store
Google Play Instant_Wizzyblog

More instant apps features are been added on Google Play store listings, and with just a “Try It Now button,” you can access the feature.
To test an app without installing, just tap on the instant app url. To support this, developers partition their apps into small, runnable parts, so they can start within seconds.

These are some of apps already listed as instant apps; BuzzFeed, NYTimes (Crossword), Hollar, Red Bull, Skyscanner, Onefootball Live Soccer Scores. You can try them out to see things for yourself. With the current integration, users will be able to try these Android apps before actually downloading and installing them.

Some of the upcoming changes google will bring soon in play store include improved home section for games which will soon feature trailers and screenshots of gameplay and two new browse destinations are also coming soon; namely ‘New’ (for upcoming and trending games) and ‘Premium’ (for paid games).

Additionally, Google Play Security Reward Program was also introduced. It will allow Google to find vulnerabilities and notify developers via security recommendations on how to fix them.

Instagram to Increase Video Length From 60Secs to Hour-long

Instagram (which is owned by Facebook) allows users to post videos of up to 60 seconds. Everyone was happy for the upgrade as against the old 15 seconds limit. But it seems, another upgrade is on the way.

According to leaks, Instagram set to upgrade the video length to hour-long videos. Though it comes with a functionality that will focus on vertical videos (videos that have more height than their width).
Instagram has been testing this feature with some couple of content creators and publishers over the hour-long videos. This info hasn't been announced officially and can be changed anytime.

This testing caused a big bug on Instagram for Android platform as the app was crashing and the website was also inaccessible in some parts of the world. Thankfully, the issue was quickly resolved by the company.

Take this info with a pinch of salt.
